asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the amount received by the revenue by way of bookmakers' licence duty paid by bookmakers operating on greyhound racecourses and horse racecourses during the months of January-December, 1955.

For receipts of bookmakers' licence duty paid by bookmakers on greyhound racecourses, I would refer the hon. Member to my right hon. Friend's reply yesterday to the hon. and gallant Member for Hull, West (Capt. Hewitson). Bookmakers on horse racecourses are not liable to this duty.
