§ 86. Mr. Emrys Hughesasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies the main items in the sum of £36,500 which he is spending on the Royal Tour to Nigeria and of £700,000 which is to be 184W spent in Nigeria by the Federal and Regional Governments.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydThe main items in the £36,500 are the cost of chartering aircraft for travel to and from Nigeria and extra provision for The Queen's Flight, which is being used for travel within Nigeria. The £700,000 consists of a multiplicity of items, details of which are not available here. The amounts approved for expenditure by each Government are approximately:
