HC Deb 21 December 1956 vol 562 c232W
Sir A. Bossom

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will instruct county agricultural executive committees to urge on farmers the importance of applying for free testing of their cattle under the area eradication plan for tuberculosis, in view of the fact that, once a tuberculosis eradication area has been declared, cattle are tested compulsorily and all reactors removed and slaughtered.

Mr. Heathcoat Amory

In areas where free tuberculin tests are available, it is already the practice for the county agricultural executive committees and my officers to do everything possible to urge farmers to apply for free tests.
