Mr. Reeves

asked the Attorney-General what consideration he has given to the representations made to him by the Marriage Law Reform Society against the proposed increase of the period between decree nisi and decree absolute from six weeks to three months; and what action he proposes to take.

I have brought the representations made by the Society to the notice of my noble Friend the Lord Chancellor. I am not yet in a position to say what action he proposes to take.
