Bossomasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will have further consultation with the National Farmers' Union before sending further advice to certifying officers as to the standards they should look for when certifying heifer calves; and if he will arrange local demonstrations in which farmers can participate.
§ Mr. Heathcoat AmoryThe consultations with the N.F.U. to which I referred in my reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Penrith and the Border (Mr. Whitelaw) on 22nd November have been concluded and agreement reached. In these circumstances, I do not think there is any present need for further demonstrations.
