§ 24. Mr. Mossasked the Minister of Education whether he is aware of the substantial inaccuracy of selection of children at 11-plus; and what steps he is taking to improve the present methods of selection.
§ Sir D. EcclesI do not accept the hon. Member's description of existing selection procedures, but it is the constant concern of local education authorities to make them as fair as they can. I shall continue to encourage practical experiments and to offer advice when I see occasion to do so.
