§ Lord John HopeThe hon. Member is presumably referring to the Native Councils Bill which was read a first time in the Legislative Assembly of Southern Rhodesia on 7th August. I have not yet heard that it has been passed by the Legislative Assembly, and therefore the question of formal action by my noble Friend has not arisen.
