HC Deb 05 December 1956 vol 561 cc149-51W
Mr. Knox Cunningham

asked the Attorney-General to state the terms of the Rhine Navigation Convention referred to in Sections 6 and 8 (1) of the Administration of Justice Act, 1956; and whether he will take steps to see that copies of this convention are available to the public through Her Majesty's Stationery Office.

The Solicitor-General

The terms of the Convention are too long to set out in answer to a Question and I must therefore refer my hon. Friend to the Convention itself. A copy is available to hon. Members in the Library. I have referred to my right hon. Friend the Financial Secretary to the Treasury the proposal that copies should be made available to the public through Her Majesty's Stationery Office and am informed that there is in his opinion insufficient public demand to justify such a step.
