§ 107. Mr. Pageasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what are the prospects of obtaining oil in Nigeria for export to Great Britain; and to what extent his Department is assisting in the search for mineral oil there and in ascertaining the best methods of shipment of it.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydSmall quantities of oil have been discovered in Nigeria, but I understand that it may take as long as two years to prove whether or not commercial production will be possible. The Nigerian authorities are giving the operating companies all the help possible.
