HC Deb 05 December 1956 vol 561 c141W
134. Mr. Chichester-Clark

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty what is his policy in regard to the pro vision of permanent Admiralty caravan sites at Royal Naval air stations in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Wingfield Digby

At a number of naval air stations naval personnel and their families have for some time been living in privately-owned or hired caravans, parked on Admiralty land. Consideration has recently been given to the standardisation of these arrangements and, as a result, it is now proposed to provide two permanent sites, as an experiment. No final plans to implement this proposal are yet ready.
