HC Deb 03 December 1956 vol 561 c96W
113. Mr. Swingler

asked the President of the Board of Trade to state the value of arms supplied to Iraq, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon, respectively in the last five years.

Mr. Low

it is not the usual practice to disclose the value of military equipment sold to foreign countries but certain figures covering exports of both civil and military goods are published from time to time. Following are the figures relating to Iraq, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Mr. Brockway

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations what proportion of the Colombo Plan Funds has been allocated for Basutoland, Bechuanaland, and Swaziland, respectively; and for what purpose the funds are being, or will be, used.

Lord John Hope

None. The second part of the Question does not therefore arise.
