asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what progress has now been made toward the construction of the road to replace Milvil Road. Lee-on-the-Solent.

There is still one outstanding objection from the Southern Gas Board which has indicated that it expects, as a result of its negotiations with the Admiralty, to withdraw its objection very shortly. When this is done I shall make the Order and authorise the highway authority to proceed with the road works.
