HC Deb 01 August 1956 vol 557 c164W
92. Mr. J. Howard

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what representations he has received from the Federation of British Railways' Superannuitants with particular respect to Clause 1 of the April, 1956, Scheme of Supplementation for Superannuitants of the British Transport Commission; and what has been the effect of those representations.

Mr. Watkinson

I have received representations from a number of organisations, including the British Railways Superannuitants Federation, about Clause 1 of the British Transport Commission's 1956 scheme of pension supplements because it excludes from the benefits persons who are entitled to National Insurance pension as a result of voluntary contributions.

The Commission is fully aware of these representations.
