Howardasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what representations he has received from the Federation of British Railways' Superannuitants with particular respect to Clause 1 of the April, 1956, Scheme of Supplementation for Superannuitants of the British Transport Commission; and what has been the effect of those representations.
§ Mr. WatkinsonI have received representations from a number of organisations, including the British Railways Superannuitants Federation, about Clause 1 of the British Transport Commission's 1956 scheme of pension supplements because it excludes from the benefits persons who are entitled to National Insurance pension as a result of voluntary contributions.
The Commission is fully aware of these representations.
