Member will be aware that the total demand for certain types of steel continues to 151W exceed supply, but British shipyards have received considerably more steel so far in 1956 than in the same period in 1955. My noble Friend and the President of the Board of Trade are watching the position and will continue to do all they can to ensure that the needs of the shipyards are met so far as is possible from the steel available.
