Johnsonasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies by whom the sentences of solitary confinement imposed upon the twenty-one female prisoners referred to in the letter addressed to Miss Fletcher by the Commandant of Kamiti Prison on 12th May, 1955, were imposed; whether they were recorded as aggravated, as more serious, or as repeated offences; and what evidence was brought and what consideration prompted the person hearing the case to deal with it under Section 86 of the Prison Ordinance rather than under Section 85.
