§ Mr. John Hallasked the Postmaster-General whether he has yet replied to the request by the Independent Television Authority for a grant under Section 11 of the Television Act; and whether he will make a statement.
Dr. HillYes. I have informed the Independent Television Authority that because of the general economic situation and the need for economy in Government expenditure no grant can be made under Section 11 of the Television Act, 1954, in the current financial year.
