Mr. Zilliacusasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will give an assurance that Her Majesty's Government are prepared to act in accordance with the principle that international economic co-operation, and particularly aid to undeveloped countries, should be canalised through the United Nations.
§ Lord John HopeNo. Her Majesty's Government have given ample evidence of their support for international cooperation through United Nations channels, but they do not consider that it would be practicable to restrict themselves to the use of such channels for this purpose.
