asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies the number of Africans who have been executed in Kenya since the declaration of the Emergency, and since the charges liable to the death penalty were revised; and what were the offences for which those executed were found guilty.

Up to 31st March, 1,015 had been executed. Of these, 106 were executed after revision of the list of capital offences on the 20th July, 1955, and this figure includes 27 since the
