§ Mr. HareThe conference accepted the pattern of Sir Frederick Bourne's recommendations and, in addition, recommended measures to give Chiefs an acknowledged position in the conduct of regional affairs. As I said on 22nd February in reply to a Question by the hon. and learned Member for Aberdeen, North (Mr. Hector Hughes) the National Liberation Movement and its associates refused to attend the conference. I am arranging for copies of the Report of the conference to be placed in the Library of the House.
