§ 15. Mr. D. Priceasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, in view of Egypt's aggressive policies, as exemplified in recent official pronouncements of the Egyptian Prime Minister, Her Majesty's Government will now withdraw their offer to contribute £6,000,000 towards the construction of a high dam at Aswan.
§ 17. Mr. Shepherdasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what offer of a gift has been made to the Egyptian Government for the purpose of assisting in the completion of the Aswan project.
§ Mr. Selwyn LloydHer Majesty's Government are discussing with the Egyptian and other Governments financial participation in the Aswan Dam project. I cannot, at this stage, be more specific.
