asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies on what grounds the House of Assembly of the Southern Cameroons has decided to dissolve the Union Politique Cameroniene.

I presume the Question relates to the Union des Populations du Cameroun.

The Southern Cameroons House of Assembly has not dissolved or tried to dissolve this organisation. But on 23rd March the House unanimously passed a Motion calling on the Southern Cameroons Government to take adequate measures to check and eradicate provocative activities of this discredited organisation in order to safeguard the interests and political rights of the inhabitants of Southern Cameroons".
