HC Deb 16 April 1956 vol 551 cc39-40W
34. Mr. G. Thomas

asked the Minister of Health what number of workers have resigned from the National Blood Transfusion Service in South Wales since 1st January, 1956; and whether he will make a statement.

Miss Hornsby-Smith

Twenty-three.

The necessary removal of the Blood Transfusion Unit to Rhydlafar has involved the staff in additional travelling time and expenses, but no difficulty in filling vacancies has been met to date; my right hon. Friend is continuing to watch the position.
