§ Mr. CarrThis scheme, which we welcome, was brought to the notice of my right hon. Friend's predecessor in November, 1954. Since then, consultations have been held with officers of my Department on various aspects of the scheme, and full details have been sent to youth employment officers. Men receiving this training would normally qualify for deferment of National Service.
