HC Deb 12 April 1956 vol 551 c27W
54. Mr. G. Jeger

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many prosecutions for failure to renew dog licences were initiated during the past year.

Major Lloyd-George

I regret that statistics for 1955 are not yet available. In 1954 in England and Wales there were 10,363 prosecutions for offences against the law relating to dog licences. I regret that I am unable to say in how many of these cases there had been a licence which had expired.
