§ Major Lloyd-GeorgeMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland and I have decided that the week beginning Sunday, 30th September, shall be "Civil Defence Week" throughout Great Britain. We shall conduct a special publicity and recruiting campaign during that week and for a short period immediately before it; and we are today28W issuing circulars to Civil Defence Corps Authorities and Fire Authorities asking them to participate in the week by arranging local publicity and events.
