65. Sir I. Clark Hutchisonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware that it is not permissible for a person in Scotland to have National Health Service lenses fitted to privately purchased spectacle frames unless the total cost of both lenses and frames is paid; and whether he will now amend the regulations so as to bring them into line with the regulations in force in England which allow this service subject only to the customary statutory charge for the lenses.
