§ 81. Mr. Iremongerasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what steps he proposes to take to rationalise the anomalous constitutional position of the New Hebrides Condominium.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydHer Majesty's Government have accepted in principle proposals submitted last year by the United Kingdom and French High Commissioners for the revision of the 1914 Protocol, which is in many ways outmoded, and for improving the administration of the Condominium. These proposals are now being examined in detail with a view to further discussions with the French Government.
