§ Mr. Patrick Maitlandasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what further areas of farmland in the Upper Ward of Lanark are being considered by the Forestry Commission for the development of afforestation.
§ Mr. J. StuartThe Forestry Commissioners have been offered by the owner an area of 600 acres in a coal mining district in the Upper Ward of Lanark where part of the land is let to a farmer: no decision has yet been taken as to whether the offer should be accepted. The Commissioners have also opened negotiations for about 70 acres of rough grazing land which have been offered to them by the owner-occupier.
