HL Deb 16 November 1955 vol 194 c636WA
LORD LUCAS OF CHILWORTH

asked Her Majesty's Government whether they will state the precise position of certain approved major road improvement development schemes indicating in each case the date of authorisation or anticipated authorisation or why such authorisation has not been given; the date on which work started and, if not started, what is the reason for the delay; what percentage of the work was completed before 1954 and has been completed since 1954 respectively together with the estimated date when the scheme in question will be completed.

THE PAYMASTER GENERAL (THE EARL OF SELKIRK)

The mass of detailed information which the noble Lord seeks will take some time to collate and prepare in the form in which he desires it, and it is unlikely to be convenient to provide by way of a Parliamentary Answer. I will therefore write to the noble Lord and send him the information, but it may take some time to get it ready. I will arrange for a copy of the correspondence to be available in the Library.

House adjourned at twenty minutes before seven o'clock.
