63. Captain Kerby

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what technical security qualifications and/or intelligence experience were held by the present Superintending Under-Secretary and by the present head of the Foreign Office Security Department at the time of their respective appointments to their present posts.

Mr. Turton

The officers concerned had no technical security qualifications but were appointed to these posts in the light of their high general qualifications, including experience of intelligence matters.
