HC Deb 14 November 1955 vol 546 cc1-2W
25. Mr. Awbery

asked the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance if he is aware that men employed on the repairing of the highway are not entitled to industrial injuries benefit when they leave their work to go to a public convenience and sustain an accident while away from their work; and if he will take steps to rectify this anomaly.

Mr. Peake

I am not aware that any general rule of the kind has been laid down by the independent statutory authorities. If the hon. Member has an individual case in mind and will send me particulars, I will certainly look into it.
