§ 53. Mr. E. Johnsonasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what evidence he has that increased numbers of poultry are being killed by foxes in areas where wild rabbits have been virtually wiped out by myxomatosis.
Mr. AmoryThere have been rather more complaints of attacks on poultry by foxes in some areas, but, taking the country as a whole, I have no evidence of an appreciable increase in these attacks. Nevertheless, poultry keepers would be well advised to be on their guard.
