§ 53. Sir R. Conantasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation whether his investigations concerning the construction of an inner relief road in Stamford are yet completed.
§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterAs I announced on 27th July, I hope to authorise the construction of this road within the next three years. I am about to appoint consulting engineers to report on the suggested line so that I can publish the necessary draft Order under Section 1 (2) of the Trunk Roads Act, 1946. This may give rise to objections, and I cannot therefore be more precise until the necessary statutory procedure has been completed.
