HC Deb 02 November 1955 vol 545 cc113-4W
48. Mr. Parker

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation whether he will see that bunks are provided for passengers delayed for the night at Blackbushe Airport as there is no sleeping accommodation now available there for emergencies.

Mr. Boyd-Carpenter

No. I do not think bunks are needed at Blackbushe, since passengers have long waits there at night only very rarely and airlines take their passengers to hotels when such waits are foreseen. I am, however, proposing to make the waiting-rooms there more comfortable.
