§ Mr. Goronwy Robertsasked the Minister of Fuel and Power if he is aware of the difficulties now being experienced by consumers and merchants of anthracite and "Phurnacite" in south Caernarvonshire owing to the heavy arrears into which allocations of these fuels to suppliers have now fallen; and whether, in view of the fact that many in this area have no alternative to these fuels, he will inquire into the position and take immediate steps and alleviate the scarcity.
§ Mr. Joynson-HicksSupplies of anthracite and "Phurnacite" are not sufficient to meet the increasing demand for these fuels but coke is a suitable alternative for many purposes and normally should be available.
