asked the Minister of Food what proportion of the retail milk supply is now subject to heat treatment; and how this compares with the position in 1945.

In the year ended September, 1954, about 87 per cent. of the milk supplied by retail in Great Britain was subject to heat treatment compared with about 69 per cent. in 1945–46.
