§ Mr. Nieldasked the Minister of Health if he is satisfied with the present machinery for making known to claimants for replacement of dentures that they may demand an oral hearing by a committee under paragraph 22 (22) of the National Health Service (General Dental Services) Regulations, 1948, if it is thought that the replacement may be necessitated by lack of care on the part of the patient; and if he will give details of this machinery.
§ Mr. Iain MacleodThe detailed machinery is left to the discretion of the local executive council, but I have not reason to think it is unsatisfactory.
§ Mr. Nieldasked the Minister of Health in what proportion of the claims for replacement of dentures it has been decided by the appropriate committee under paragraph 22 (2) of the National Health Service (General Dental Services) Regulations, 1948, that the patient shall bear the whole of the cost of replacement.
