EcclesThe number of pupils following advanced courses in science is increasing and I hope that a statement about maintenance allowances, which I shall be making shortly, will encourage this trend. Secondly, the new schools offer better facilities for science teaching. Thirdly, the recent proposals of the Burnham Committee are designed to attract, among others, more and better-qualified science teachers, a Question on which I have answered in the House today.
