§ Mr. Shinwellasked the Under-Secretary of State for Air whether he has considered the application of 1853333 Sergeant Dunning, Royal Air Force, Bahrein, to have his wife and children sent out to Bahrein so that the family can be united; what inquiries he has made into the accommodation provided for Mrs. Dunning at Cranwell; and if he will make a statement.
Mr. WardI regret that there is at present no accommodation which we could offer to this airman's family in Bahrein. Sergeant Dunning is, however, likely to be posted to Cyprus within the next few months and it should be possible for them to join him there. The prewar quarter which Mrs. Dunning is occupying at Cranwell lacked up-to-date cooking and water heating facilities. These have now been provided.
