asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what information he has relating to the incidence of venereal disease among the Masai of Tanganyika; if he will give the percentage incidence in both males and females; and what preventive and remedial treatment is available.

Mr. Hopkinson

There are no accurate figures, but incidence is believed to be high in both sexes. One hospital and 15 dispensaries are available in the tribal area for preventive and remedial treatment.
