asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what steps he takes to ensure that men intending to emigrate from the Colonies to this country are notified of the circumstances in which they will be liable for National Service here.

Mr. Hopkinson

At present no such steps are taken but my right hon. Friend is considering with my right hon. Friend, the Minister of Labour and National Service, whether there is anything which might usefully be done in this direction.
