§ 50. Mr. Haleasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what steps have now been taken in Kenya to implement the recommendation of the All-Racial Committee on Wages which reported in February, 1954; and what are the prevailing statutory minimum wages in Government service, agriculture and industry, respectively.

The following table sets out the basic minimum wages44W and the minimum housing allowances payable to all employed persons, including those employed by the Kenya Government in the urban areas of the Colony in which a statutory minimum wage is in force:
