Mr. Blenkinsopasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether he will circularise local authorities reminding them of their powers under the Housing Acts to serve notices on landlords of unfit houses requiring repairs to be carried out; and whether he will recommend such action especially where the tenant is an old-age pensioner in receipt of a rent allowance from the National Assistance Board.
