§ Mr. Patrick Maitlandasked the Minister of Agriculture what steps he has taken to include in the committee set up by his Department to inquire into horticultural marketing, someone fully conversant with the work of the Scottish growers, particularly the tomato growers of the Clyde Valley.
Mr. AmoryAs I explained to the hon. Member for Falmouth and Camborne (Mr. Hayman) on 17th February, the members of this Committee will be independent persons of general experience, and will not be appointed for their connection with any particular aspects of horticulture or horticultural trades. The Committee will, of course, be concerned with the needs of Scottish growers.
