§ Lord John HopeSubject to considerations of public order and to their possession of adequate means of livelihood, persons seeking political asylum are normally permitted by the Committee of Control of the International Zone to reside at least temporarily in Tangier.266W Responsibility for the admission of such persons is in the hands of the Committee of Control on which Her Majesty's Consul General has one vote out of eight.
