HC Deb 02 March 1955 vol 537 c282W
96. Mr. Gower

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General why the latest collection of letters in the Members' Post Office in the House of Commons for the first delivery in Cardiff the next morning is as early as 8 p.m. in view of the fact that the mail train leaves Paddington at 1 a.m. and arrives at Cardiff at 5.30 a.m.

Mr. Gammans

Letters for Cardiff posted at the Members' Post Office up to.9.30 p.m. and, when the House is sitting late, up to 11.0 p.m. are due to be delivered by first post next weekday. If my hon. Friend has posted any letters in time for these collections which have not been delivered by first post, I shall be glad if he will let me have details.
