BrookeI assume that the hon. and learned Member is referring to a memorandum on salaries which the Association of University Teachers submitted more than a year ago to the Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Principals and of which the Association were good enough in July, 1954, to send my right hon. Friend a copy. My right hon. Friend announced last November a revision of university academic salaries, effective from 1st October, 1954, and costing some £2¼ million a year.
