Jegerasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether, in view of the deteriorating position in Cyprus, he will convene a conference in Cyprus 24W of the mayors, together with representatives of the Church, the trade unions, the Turkish community, and others, with a view to dealing with the causes of violence and unrest.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydIf at any time the Governor felt that such a conference would be likely to serve the purposes mentioned I am sure that he would not hesitate to call it.
