§ 12. Mr. G. Thomasasked the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance why old people normally accommodated at the eventide homes of the Cardiff City Council who have been admitted to hospital are treated on a different financial basis from other pensioners admitted to hospital.
§ Mr. PeakeThe Regulations are designed to leave those concerned with exactly the same amount of money to spend after admission to hospital as they had in the local authority home. The point was fully dealt with in a report of the National Insurance Advisory Committee, a copy of which I am sending to the hon. Member.
