§ 23. Mr. Warbeyasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what recommendations he has now received from the British Transport Commission in regard to the utilisation of canals and waterways; and what is the policy of Her Majesty's Government thereon.
§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterI have received no specific proposals, but I understand that the Commission has already approved certain schemes for the improvement of particular waterways and that a further scheme is in course of preparation. On principle, I welcome such proposals.
